About Us

The New Zealand Lily Society has its base in Christchurch, New Zealand. Here is where we have our meetings and shows. There is also a group of members who meet regularly in Timaru with their own annual show. Our membership consists of locals, of course, but we do have a far ranging membership around the world.

Our shows and meetings are held in rooms of the race course stands at Riccarton Park Function Centre. There is a meeting the first Tuesday of every month except June and July, these being mid winter months without much activity.

Table Shows, with stem and floret classes, are held on the meeting dates of November, December, February and March. Our main Annual Show is held early in January of each year.

• $25.00 p/a Single

• $30.00 p/a Double

• $10.00 p/a Junior (under 18)

• $35.00 p/a Overseas

The Membership year runs from 1st August to 31st July.Your subscription gives you;

• Society Bulletin (3 per year)

• A Seed List (around July, with the Bulletin)

• 4 free packets of Seed for Single, 6 for Double, around July when the Seed List comes out.

• Pay only $1 per packet over and above your free alotment for the year at the time of the Seed List.

• Cultivation Notes

• Current printed programme (incl. addresses and ph. numbers)

• Copy of the Rules of the Society

• Library and Video borrowing

• Monthly meeting attendance where you can learn from other members.

Payment by cheque, bank draft, or money order is preferred if posting, and need not be registered if crossed 'Not Transferable'.Overseas persons, please email the Secretary for further information.
